Ría Celestún

Ría Celestún is considered one of the richest ecosystems in the country. Approximately 39.82 percent of this reserve is in Campeche territory.

To visit the estuary it is advisable to do so by boat and tour the northern end, where there is a considerable population of pink flamingos.

The estuary is home to species such as the swamp crocodile and about 95 species of resident birds and 75 migratory ones, such as herons, ducks and the ocellated turkey.
