Located in the municipality of Candelaria, 40 kilometers from the town of the same name.

El Tigre, also known as Itzamkánac, was the capital of the Mayan chiefdom of Acalán, which according to 16th century sources is considered the most important public market in the Mayan world and according to some sources it could be the place where it was sacrificed Cuauhtémoc, the last Aztec emperor.
