The pillar

The pillar It is one of the largest sites in Belize and a large part of its settlement is located on the Guatemalan side, so its conservation has been achieved thanks to the formation of a binational park.

Although its main buildings have not been restored, you can see mounds that reach 21 m high and some walls and vaults preserved within a jungle environment.

It contains around 15 plazas, and the most important are Axcanan, Copal, Duende and Faisán.

The small residential group near the town of Bullet Tree Falls has been partially restored to show the way of life of the pre-Hispanic inhabitants, as part of a project that aims to recover local ethnobotany and sustainable agroforestry practices.

The first is called Caculhá-Huracán. The second is Chipi-Caculhá. The third is Raxá-Caculhá. And these three are the Heart of Heaven.
