Journalists from European media promote Guatemala through joint efforts between INGUAT and CATA

In order to promote the most emblematic tourist destinations in Guatemala, and the multi-destination, the Guatemalan Tourism Institute, together with the Central American Tourism Promotion Agency (CATA, for its acronym in English) joined forces for a tour with media European communication, in order to generate content and encourage potential tourists from Europe to visit our country through their publications.

The Central American Promotion Agency works hand in hand with the public and private sectors of the tourism industry to promote the isthmus as a multi-destination. Along these lines, the agency has launched a series of press trips with journalists from the priority markets for the region, who will learn first-hand about the post-pandemic tourism offer and services for the European market.

The group of 10 journalists will be carrying out multi-destination trips in the different countries of the region where they will get to know the local communities and portray stories from a more personal experience, to show the world options for gastronomy, wellness, sun and beach, surfing, diving, sport fishing, sustainability, rural tourism, culture, adventure, art, ecotourism, archeology among others.

The purpose of this action is to promote the tourism product and position the image of Central America and the Dominican Republic abroad, through the generation of reports, articles, videos and digital content.
