Due to measures announced by the United States and Canada, the Mundo Maya Organization postpones the “Mundo Maya Business Roundtable 2021”.

The Mundo Maya Organization hereby informs that as a result of uncertainty arising from safety measures applied by the United States and strict policies taken by Canada in the past weeks, our two primary markets invited to participate in the business roundtable; and due to challenges resulting from COVID-19 and the highly dynamic situation faced by the tourism sector, a decision has been made to postpone the Mundo Maya Business Roundtable 2021 to ensure that more businesses and participants have the opportunity to be a part of this event.

These challenges are not unique to our region, as various events worldwide have encountered difficulties because of a changing reality caused by the pandemic. The Mundo Maya Organization considers this an opportunity to take measures that will contribute to the improvement of the sale of the Mundo Maya product. As a result, we encourage all tourism operators and service providers that registered, to remain enthusiastic to participate as per the new dates that we will be announcing later.

The Mundo Maya Organization, comprised of Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico, is focused on fostering sustainable tourism development in the Mundo Maya region through the promotion and contribution to the conservation of historic and cultural heritage.

The Mundo Maya Business Roundtable 2021 represents the first marketing and promotion activity to boost the positioning and integration of the region as a tourism multidestination in priority markets for the region: United States, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America.
