From this moment on, the ruler\u00a0<em>K&#039;ahk&#039; Tiliw Chaan Yopaat<\/em>\u00a0and his successor erected one of the most impressive sculptural complexes in the world, consisting of 10 large steles and 5 zoomorphic sculptures with elaborate reliefs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this reason it was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>There was only immobility and silence in the darkness, in the night.
